Honestly, how do you get to this point with a bare, undamaged frame, but clean title? Insurance fraud? I’d say stolen and stripped, but they’re posting the VIN in the ad.
Thoughts? I’m confused.

when insurance offers you 7 cents for the car after it is wrecked, you keep it instead and part it out to make you money back. thus the title never gets marked as salvage and remains in its last state, clean

Right, but they claimed undamaged, straight as left the factory, we swear! I guess it’s possible to total the car and not damage the shell, but I’m skeptical.

Work from home with Google for eleventy billion dollars and hour finding sketchy Craigslist deals!
Actually, an old story where some B&B owner thought my name was Cash Rewards when she read it off the credit card, and called my wife Mrs rewards. When she was confused, the lady said “your husband, Cash....”

Flood damage never claimed on insurance and parted our. Could be the owner self-insured outside of liability.

you buy a corvette, and then part out literally EVERYTHING. and then when all that you own, is the vin, you sell IT and the paper its attached to to someone that needs a straight frame.
to put this in perspective. you can buy that corvette for what 20 000? there abouts? by the time you have parted out the drivetrain. engine, trans, rear end, you have your money. THEN once you sell of wiring, and cpu, interior glass, individual body panels, fuel tank, badging, tires and wheels...... takes time to sell off the last bits BUT you have more than doubled your initial cash outlay. and thats if you had paid the full 20000. say you can scoop one up at auction for maybe $8000. you can make money hand over fist. PROVIDED you have the TIME to sit on all the parts and remove them gently, and post them all individually........

We hated having to correct her, because she was the nicest lady and must’ve felt so dumb, but we were in Scotland and didn’t want some weird name mismatch on our card to freeze it. She must’ve been like ‘crazy Americans, named Cash Rewards’.

I wish I had that sort of time. That’s not what I’d do with it if I had it, but still.

i have actually been to the businesses that do. they usually have the cars on racks, three and four tall. one place must of had around a hundred corvettes. i was asking about rallye wheels at the time. those guys were proud of the junk that they had, kind of snobbish too. they even had a car in their shop they were piecing back together from nothing. IT was a pace car(or atleast the tub and one door were.
i remember when i had asked about the rallyes, THEY asked “ what are you putting them on?” my caprice “they wont look good on it” well how much then?....... they came back with some stupid price, and i left.......
but those places exist, seen a picture of another one in the background of an article from the front page. that place specialized in porsches.........

i think, REALISTICALLY (so long as you were not hung up on fit and finish) if you were to shake $15k(cash money) in front of them, they would sell you a tub (with title), and enough straight panels suspension parts, and a “complete” driveline. to pin together a “driver”.
it might be missing minor stuff, like interior, and trim, and maybe a window or two, BUT you would have a runner to cruise some fun roads. and that is what most of us are after as it is........
